In this section, you will access a variety of tools and resources that include:

• Assessment, screening tools and toolkits for concurrent disorders, addictions, mental health and other issues
• Guides for physicians and nurses
• Information and guidelines on treatment and treatment models, as well as approaches to take with certain populations
• Information on treatment and clinical care programs at CAMH

As unique and individual that mental health issues and addictions are to each patient/client, so too are their assessment and treatment needs. According to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, “Early detection, diagnosis and treatment results in better treatment outcomes, shorter episodes, and fewer relapses”.  Increased knowledge of assessment and treatment tools, practices, and guidelines will lead to more positive outcomes in patients/clients and a more effective healthcare system.

CAMH provides a Cultural Interpretation Service which gives clients access to trained, professional interpreters.  Interpretations and translation services for written material are provided in 50 languages and dialects, including French.
